Having a portrait painted is a very important undertaking for both artist and client. A portrait will last for many generations, long after the family photos have faded. Regardless of its simplicity or complexity of the composition, Mic Carlson always strives to create an heirloom quality masterpiece of the highest standards.

A portrait is a collaboration between artist and patron. The first step is to initiate a dialogue and consider the scope of portrait and determine the price. Mic will do his best to accommodate both your budget and your vision. Please contact artist Mic Carlson to discuss the cost and specifics of commissioning a custom portrait painting or to receive an estimate.

The price is based on the following factors: the number of people or pets in the painting; how much of each subject is to be depicted; the size of the actual painting itself and the complexity of the background setting.

Artist travel expenses, framing costs, shipping fees and sales tax, are additional. A one half non-refundable deposit is required with a signed contract. The balance is due when the completed portrait is delivered to and accepted by the client.
